Janet W. Hardy
Her Workshops:
Janet W. Hardy is a mass of seeming contradictions: mother and slut, dominatrix and homebody, intellectual and showtune queen.
The author or coauthor of ten groundbreaking books about relationships and sexuality, including The Ethical Slut (nearly 100,000 copies sold to date in two editions), Janet has traveled the world as a speaker and teacher on topics ranging from ethical multipartner relationships to erotic spanking and beyond. She is the mother of two grown sons and the veteran of many relationships, kinky and vanilla, with men and women and people in between.
Janet holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from St. Mary’s College of California. She founded Greenery Press, which has been publishing “reading for the sexually adventurous” since 1992, and has taught English composition and creative writing at the university level.
Her other books include The New Bottoming Book, The New Topping Book, Radical Ecstasy, and When Someone You Love Is Kinky (all with Dossie Easton), as well as The Sexually Dominant Woman: A Workbook for Nervous Beginners, The Compleat Spanker, and The Toybag Guide to Canes and Caning.
She often fantasizes about being handcuffed to Stephen Sondheim’s piano.

Ethical Sluthood: foundations of nontraditional lifestyles
Geared to those who are new to polyamorous and open relationships, or who are considering opening their lives to a multiplicity of relationships, this lecture/discussion will cover some of the basic tenets of sluthood — with special attention to the always-challenging issue of boundaries.
Sluthood Intensive: a place to brainstorm your most challenging poly issues
For the more advanced practitioner, this group discussion and brainstorming session is the place to bring your tough poly challenges. Come prepared to share and learn. If you would prefer not to discuss your issues in public, we will provide a means for questions to be asked anonymously.
Girlfags and Guydykes: what they mean to our understanding of gender and orientation
Throughout history, there have always been women who feel most at home with and among gay men, and men who prefer the company of lesbians as friends and lovers. Neither entirely queer nor entirely straight, such individuals challenge our understanding of gender and orientation. Janet — a girlfag whose life partner is a guydyke — will discuss her understanding of these liminal identities, and offer space for sharing and exploration.
